Day 1 (Sat) Depart USA
Your exciting journey to Japan begins as you depart aboard ANA flight to Tokyo.

Day 2 (Sun) Arrive Tokyo
Upon arrival at Tokyo, the capital of Japan, transfer to your hotel.

Day 3 (Mon) Tokyo
Your morning visiting the Tokyo Tower Observatory for a panoramic view of the city and Tokyo Bay. Then onto the exquisite outer garden of Imperial Palace Plaza and Asakusa Kannon Temple.

Day 4 (Tue) Tokyo
Today is free for you to explore this dynamic city on your own.

Day 5 (Wed) Tokyo/Mt.Fuji/Hakone (L)
Today you will take a motor coach to Hakone through the country side and half way up Mt. Fuji. After lunch at Highland Resort, you will proceed to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashii followed by a ride on Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway. Overnight at Kowaki-en with hot spring baths.

Day 6 (Thu) Hakone/Takayama
In the morning you will be transferred to Odawara and take a train for Nagoya then onto Takayama, an ancient and tranquil city also known as "Little Kyoto". In the afternoon, a walking tour will take you through the city to visit Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional floats are on display. Continue on to Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, former residence of powerful merchants. Also take a stroll along the streets of Kami Sannomahi and see the old traditional Japanese wooden houses. Overnight at Hida Hotel Plaza.

Day 7 (Fri) Takayama/Kanazawa
In the morning, visit the local market of Takayama then drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa River to Shirakawago, designated as part of the World Heritage. See the unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Then visit Gokayama, another World Heritage village and experience making traditional Japanese paper. Continue on to Kanazawa. Overnight at Holiday Inn Kanazawa.

Day 8 (Sat) Kanazawa/Kyoto
Morning sightseeing in Kanazawa visiting Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan's three most beautiful traditional gardens and Kutaniyaki Pottery kiln. Take a stroll through the Nagamachi samurai house district. In the afternoon, take an express train to Kyoto and transfer to your Hotel.

Day 9 (Sun) Kyoto
Morning tour of this ancient city visiting Nijo Castle, once used as the Tokugawa Shogun's family palace. Then onto Golden Pavilion, a gilded structure originally used as a villa for nobleman. Continue to Higashi Honganji Temple and Kyoto Handicraft Center.

Day 10 (Mon) Kyoto
Free day for you to explore the city on your own.

Day 11 (Tue) Kyoto/USA
Transfer via airport bus for your flight home.
