TOUR FARE
Tour price includes cost of air transportation and land arrangements. Tour price is quoted in U.S. dollars and based on rates of exchange in effect on December 1, 2003 and are subject to change without notice. Tour price is per person double-occupancy.

RESERVATION, DEPOSIT, AND FINAL PAYMENT
All Protour Programs……$300 per person
All Others ……………..…$100 per person
Deposits are due within 14 days of reservation date. Full payment must be received by Pacific PROTOUR 45 days prior to the departure date. Failure to comply with deposit and final payment requirements will cause cancellation of your reservation.

FORM OF PAYMENT
PPI accepts payment by check or American Express, Visa and Master Card.
For credit card payments, an authorization form provided by PPI must be completed full and signed by the card-holder. Third party credit cards are not accepted. Travel Insurance payment must by check only. PPI reserves the right to decline acceptance of a credit card if deemed necessary.

CANCELLATION
All cancellations must be received by PPI in writing or facsimile. The following penalties shall apply for cancellations received at:
45 days before departure: $100 per person**
30 – 44 days before departure: $200 per person**
8 – 29 days before departure: $350 per person**
1 – 7 days before departure: 50% of tour fare
On or after departure date: Subject to 100% of tour fare
**Except for bookings of Yangtze River Cruise programs. An additional cruise penalty of $500 will be added to the specified penalty charges if cancellation made withn 60 days before departure.

CHANGE, LATE BOOKING FEE, AND REFUNDS
A late booking fee of $50 will be assessed for reservations made within 30 days prior to tour departure and each change after the booking has been confirmed. Any unused portions of the land arrangements, hotel accommodations or other services and features of the tour are neither refundable nor exchangeable. All claims for refunds must be made through the booking agents from whom the tour has been purchased within 30 days after termination of the tour. No refund will be made for complimentary accommodations and services provided by the airline for involuntary stopovers. Eg: Narita overnight stay, if necessary, is paid by the airline.

LAND ARRANGEMENTS
Cost of land arrangements, are subject to change if exchange rates fluctuate, unless deposit or final payment requirement is met. Land price is based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room. The single supplement room rate covers all cities on the tour except any involuntary stopovers as provided by the airlines. Land only price does not include any air transportation except air fares solely within China.

AIR TRANSPORTATION
Air transportation is based on round-trip economy class via airlines assigned for each program. Domestic transportation within China are by the Chinese carriers.

AIR FARE UPGRADE SPECIALS
Good for purchase in-conjunction with tour programs subject to seat availability. Business or First Class travel applies to All Nippon Airways flight segments only per specified itinerary of each tour program. Travel on all other airlines’ flight segments are in economy class. Deviation from specified itinerary is not allowed. US domestic add-on fares are not applicable for Business or First Class fares.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodations are provided in hotels specified in the itinerary. PPI reserves the right to substitute hotels whenever necessary. Rooms are on a run-of-the-house basis except when higher category of rooms are specified in the tour program. 

TOKYO AND OSAKA INVOLUNTARY STOPOVERS
Return overnight accommodations at Narita or Kansai Airport hotels, if necessary, are provided by the airline on complimentary basis due to flight connection requirement. Deviations from the specified itinerary of the tour made voluntary by the passenger will result in forfeiting the accommodation.

YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE
Yangtze River cruise is by standard cabins aboard specified cruise lines. In the event that an assigned cruise boat is not available due to reasons beyond PPI’s control, PPI reserves the right to substitute with any other available boats. Yangtze cruise itineraries, length of cruise and shore excursions stated in the brochure programs are subject to change due to the  water level and navigation conditions.

GUARANTEED DEPARTURES & MODULES
All programs are guaranteed to operate with a minimum of two full paying participants. See Sightseeing, Transfers for other condition.

DOCUMENTATION
Passengers are responsible to obtain proper travel documentation. A passport with minimum 6 months validity is required of all nationals. Visas are required for China and some Indochina countries. Nationals of countries other than the USA should check with their booking agent or consulate offices regarding other possible visa requirements. Visa fees are not included in the tour price.
PPI provides a China visa service at a fee of $95 for American citizens. Other nationals visa fees varies, please check for rates. Visa fees are subject to change.

BAGGAGE
Airline regulations entitle each Trans-pacific passenger to two check-in suitcases and one carry-on bag that fits beneath the seat. Dimensions vary between carriers, please check directly with the appropriate carrier for baggage allowance. For travel within the Orient, the allowance for check-in baggage is a total of 44 pounds per passenger. All programs involve travel in Japan limits to 1 suitcase plus carry-on per passenger.

SIGHTSEEING, TRANSFERS, AND TIPS
All sightseeing and transfers (except in Japan) will be conducted in air-conditioned, private motorcoaches when there are 15 or more passengers. For less than 15 passengers, scheduled (seat-in-coach) sightseeing and transfer services may be used wherever such services are available. In Japan transfers will be by limousine bus, public transportation or taxi. Transfers include the handling of one piece of standard size luggage per person. All arrangements in China and Indochina are controlled by government travel services and are subject to change. Due to occasional change of flight schedule and delays, some sightseeing tours may be adjusted or cancelled. Cultural and acrobatic shows as well as the Children’s Palace performance are subject to availability during the holidays and seasonal recesses. Tips to local guides and drivers are not included and are expected.

NOT INCLUDED
Any extra transportation which is not part of the itinerary, tips to drivers or guides, passport or visa fees, insurance, foreign airport charges and taxes, U.S. Airport, immigration and customs fees. Also not included are airport portage (unless otherwise stated), excess baggage charges, hotel portage, additional meals, beverage, laundry, telephone/facsimile, and items of a personal nature.

RESPONSIBILITY
Pacific Protour Inc. of Milpitas, California, gives notice that all tickets and coupons issued, all arrangements for transport or conveyance or accommodations are made as agents upon the express condition that they shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect in any vehicle, or through the act or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger, or in carrying out the arrangements of the tours, or otherwise in connection therewith, or of any hotel proprietor or services, sickness, weather quarantine, strikes, force majeure, other causes or acts of God. All tour itineraries and prices may be affected by alterations in steamship, air, and railroad services of the various countries. PPI reserves the right to withdraw a tour announced in this program, substitute hotels, and make alterations to the itineraries as deemed necessary to ensure smooth operation of the tours. The Chinese handling agency has sole and exclusive control over the operation of all tours in China and reserves the right to make alterations or adjustments in the itinerary as to destinations, transportation, accommodations and all other services. PPI reserves the right to decline acceptance of any person as a member of any tour at any time if necessary. The airlines concerned are not held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passengers are not onboard their planes or conveyance. The contract in use by the airline and the passenger shall constitute as the sole contract. Any other transportation, travel companies used shall have no responsibility or liability to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers.
